It’s July, which means I’m in party-planning mode. My son’s birthday is mid-August, and he is that kid who starts talking about his next birthday theme about a week after his party. This year it’s a gaming party, and he has all kinds of ideas. He’s definitely my kid. My daughter’s birthday is the end of September, and when I ask her what she wants her party theme to be, it is usually “horses.” Let me tell ya - there are only so many variations of “horse-themed birthday party” you can come up with year after year. Bottom line - a different planning experience for each of them!

As I started to think about the process I go through to plan and execute their parties, it occurred to me that other parents may be interested in the collection of party décor, menu ideas, party games, themed shirts (yep, we wear themed shirts), etc. that I put together for each event. So I’m gonna do it!

I’m putting together ideas now for my son’s "gaming-themed birthday party” now, and that will be where I start. Stay tuned as this theme comes together, and I will gather the collection of past themes (some of my absolute faves were my daughter’s donut party and my son’s Fortnite party).
